Recently I was asked to have a go at illustrating on to some trees. They're called Muse Trees, in that you're suppose to gaze at them, take in the shapes, and generally.. well, muse. The owner of these trees would normally sell them as is, the idea being to find shapes in the branches and negative space. I have been asked to try out some drawings, to see if there is a sellable product in an illustrated Muse Tree.
This is just one that I tried out this afternoon. I did a wolf's head and torso, with bits hidden on other branches. The project is only in its experimental stage at the minute, so I would be grateful for any comments or suggestions anyone might have for these trees. You don't have to have a blogger account to leave a comment, so please use the form below and share your thoughts. eg. Where you envisage these trees being sold, how much you would pay for one, what other kind of designs would work, or just some nice comments!
